An artwork doesn’t exist if we don’t look at it; the museum doesn’t exist without its public. Aware of the crucial importance of shared mediation, the Centre de la Gravure et de l'Image imprimée, in accordance with its DNA of democratic and territorial commitment and the specificity of a medium and techniques whose purpose exactly lies in the transmission and dissemination of art to the greatest number, committed itself – as from its creation – to develop a very active policy of various open and tailor-made mediations to respond to the diversity of its visitors.

As a key player internationally recognized for its policy of promoting the current forms of printed art, the team of the Educational Department of the CGII is striving to pass on to you the experience and taste of printing in all its forms.

Indeed, we wish that all our visitors could find adequate support between the recurring formulas and more specific proposals linked to the current program: guided tours, meetings with the creators, conferences, close explorations of our reserves, courses for adults and children, programs for families, school and association activities, ‘travel workshops’ in schools, tailor-made proposals for groups and provision of pedagogical resources linked to printed art...

The CGII is opening up to you by means of its temporary exhibition rooms, solidly equipped print and typography workshops, reserves or extra-muros proposals. We hope that all visitors could find something suitable for them. Below, you will find the details of these multiple formulas and proposals.
