In a specific sense, this porosity of spirit and approach also underlies Trans-Human Nature, the body of work presented here. It is the result of a particular life experience, including the decision to settle (part-time) and build a house in Botopasi, a remote village in Surinam, accessible only by river, in order to get closer to an ideal more in line with her ecological commitments.

In this case, photography occupies a prominent place in the works she has developed there, in a layered and constructed practice that is nevertheless devoid of any digital manipulation. Water becomes the vector par excellence of this superimposition of forms and universes, in a continuum of fluid forms in constant dissolution and regeneration.

A kind of archaeology of the future also emerges here, but it is a post or, rather, trans-human future, apprehended from the point of view of nature, of a nature and/or a universe thus created which would seemingly outlive humanity, or would relegate humans to a marginal place, while preserving or projecting memorial traces of them.

This porous stratification of images and registers can be seen in the remarkable photographic prints on display here: from Aquatronic to Brain Power, Cornerstone to Mind your Rock, the figure of the anthropomorphic and/or techno-futurist mask appears in the background as if embedded in the natural elements.

The installation is completed with a wallpapered corner that invites us to decode this triumphant nature in order to detect, in its interstices, the human presence that could still exist there. A synthetic turf floor, and Transparencies (concealment), a plexiglass bust of a human form draped with a ghostly impression in polycarbonate inkjet print, remind us even more explicitly that this nature of the future can only metabolize and/or co-exist with the legacy of humanity.

["post-95709","extra","type-extra","status-publish","hentry
["GET
