L\u2019objet industriel devient son mat\u00e9riel de r\u00e9flexion.<\/span> Il est, essentiellement sculpteur, et l\u2019artiste essentiellement \u2011 mais non exclusivement \u2011 d\u2019un mat\u00e9riau, le plastique industriel, sub specie le poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne, sous sa forme, fa\u00e7onn\u00e9e, tubulaire et color\u00e9e, aux usages sp\u00e9cifiques, en fonction d\u2019un r\u00e9pertoire chromatique codifi\u00e9. De son parcours, il garde une fascination pour la m\u00e9thode, la structure, le protocole, la mati\u00e8re, tout explicitant <span class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color-color\">une fascination pour l\u2019impr\u00e9vu, le hasard, la vie autonome et organique de la mati\u00e8re, ou des objets m\u00e9caniques inanim\u00e9s. C\u2019est dans ce sens que nous montrons ici une s\u00e9rie d\u2019empreintes r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par un rouleau compresseur sur le macadam, <\/span>une s\u00e9rie qui fait \u00e9cho dans son travail \u00e0 une autre s\u00e9rie o\u00f9 il emploie une calandreuse pour r\u00e9aliser des papiers peints aux motifs al\u00e9atoires. En l\u2019occurrence, la s\u00e9rie d\u2019empreintes a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 froid (80\u00b0), rue de la Lasne 24, \u00e0 Lasne. L\u2019enrob\u00e9 bitumineux, m\u00e9lange de granulats et de bitume, laisse des motifs assez r\u00e9guliers avec n\u00e9anmoins des accents expressifs, li\u00e9s au glissement de la feuille.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">English<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color-color\">A chemical engineer by training, Roger Remacle worked in a research laboratory before devoting his time to artistic practice.<\/span> He began to his art training in a structured way in his late forties, applying scientific research techniques and methodology to his artistic projects. He is, essentially, a sculptor, and as an artist is focused largely &#8211; though not exclusively &#8211; on a single material, industrial plastic, specifically polyethylene, in the form of shaped, and colored tubes, with specific uses, according to a codified chromatic repertoire. <span class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color-color\">From his career, he retains a fascination for method, structure, protocol, material, all of which reveals a fascination for the unforeseen, chance, the autonomous and organic life of matter, or inanimate mechanical objects. It is in this sense that we here show a series of imprints made by a steamroller on the tarmac, <\/span>a series that echoes in his work another series where he uses a roll-press to make wallpapers with random patterns. In this case, the series of impressions was made through a cold process (80\u00b0), at rue de la Lasne 24, in Lasne.
